Unfortunately late in Maya's 2024 pregnancy I noticed her udder was developing a bit lopsided and then weeks before freshening the right side started leaking colustrom. She had mastitis her 1st Freshening, which side is unknown. She may not see a show ring again but as a brood doe she has great genetics and there's still a lot to like about her udder attachments, capacity, and shape that I'm hoping she passes on to her kids. Despite her lopsided udder (and therefor preventing us from seeing her full potential/shape and being coded as such) she did receive a 37 for For Udder Attachment, 39 for Rear Udder Height, 34 for Rear Udder Arch, a 30 for Medial, and 24 for Teat Placement - all REALLY nice scores!
I can't wait to see her 3rd freshening! She's a very nice doe with great genetics and brings a lot to my herd; I'm very thankful I had the opportunity to bring her here!
